Find out a little about the Kennedy family through this interactive on the New York Times. You'll find it interesting. POst a comment about what you think about his life and family.
After reading about senator E. M. Kennedy, its clear to me that I don't know enough to write something about his life and do him justice.
It seems that he was a good man and a caring politician. Who fought his entire career for those in need that couldn't speak for themselves. A man of great strength who didn't let tragedy discourage him or interfere with his life's work.
I can't be certain if any of it is true. Yet I am sure that many loved him.
There are a lot of movies about the Kennedys. One is called "Bobby" about when Robert Kennedy was shot. There is another by a famous director, Oliver Stone, JFK. and many more...
Many people didn't trust Edward after what happened in Chappaquiddick. Read about that.
I looked at the Skakels article. They're cousins by marriage..not blood. And the article goes on to talk about the tensions between the two families. Interesting.
I know life is not like soap operas; where we can find one god guy (or girl) that always does right things meanwhile there is the bad guy (or girl) that always does evilness. Even I don't expect perfect people, I still think politicians are not nice people, and I do not trust them.
Eventhough Mr. Edward Kenney had a great career I do not admire him, or his family. I think Kennedy family is like any other royal family nowadays: they had some prominent members, but the family will always want to be respectable; as a result the whole family will always try to keep up appearances.
An article about the Skakels:
